As an artist, whenever you release a new album or project you’re exposed. Your heart & soul is on display for the world to see. You are naked for the world to critique every detail of your mind & heart. These works of art that we create are our children, our babies put on display to either be loved or hated. The fear of sharing yourself with the world to be judge for what you love to do is a scary process. Not knowing how it will be accepted or if even anyone will take the time to listen to what you have to say, or even appreciate the hours, the days of hard work you put in to create. I have been told by some that I should not create. Made to feel like I am wrong for wanting to share my creativity with others & express my feelings, experiences & thing I have seen throughout my life with others. Music has always been therapy for me & being able to create & have the opportunity to just maybe help someone through a tough situation, to make someone feel good or to just FEEL, through my music means a lot. I wrote, I produced, I was my own engineer through this entire process to create this album. I was my own marketing team. But creating this album isn’t just about me. This album, this music, the words laid down poetically to a drum & a snare is more than just that. This is not just for me to sell a product. This means more to me. See this is for the boy that became a man without the help of his father. This is for that child living in a brick city trying to fight his way out, that little girl searching for self -respect. This is for that hardworking man that lost his job, the mother raising 3 kids on her own. Those woman that cant see that they are beautiful no matter what size or complexion. This is for the dreamers, the creators, those fighting through depression. This is for those searching for justice, for those that lost faith. This is for pain, for love. These are Other Peoples Unique Scenes. This is OPUS.
I thank-you
